Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Lisbon, Coimbra, Braga - Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration and a proven track record of managing complex databases in a fast-paced environment. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Implement and maintain database security measures
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Create and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
- Perform database upgrades and patches as needed
- Monitor and maintain database storage capacity and data growth
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed
Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, for at least 3 years, with a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Proficiency in Oracle database management.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Oracle Golden Gate for data replication and integration.
- Knowledge of AWS and cloud-based database management.
- Familiarity with the telecom industry, particularly mobile networks.
- Fluent in English.
