Position: Network Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Network Engineer to join our growing team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. This includes managing our network devices, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring the security and reliability of our network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure the security and integrity of our network by implementing and maintaining security protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and upgrades to our network
- Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams
- Provide technical support to end-users and assist with network-related issues
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in networking technology
Qualifications:
- Relevant academic background for the role
- 3 to 4 years of experience in designing, managing, and supporting LAN and WAN networks
- Over 3 years of experience in Cisco Routing and Switching (Nexus and Catalysts) and Fortinets (switching and routing)
- Over 2 years of experience in NAC (802.1x and others) and Load Balancers (NGINX and Fortiweb)
- Over 2 years of experience in Zoning and segmentation (Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls) and perimeter design (Fortinet and Checkpoint VPNs)
- Over 2 years of experience in WIFI (Cisco and Fortinet Wireless)
- Experience with Voice over IP protocols (Cisco, Asterisk, and FreePBX)
- Knowledge of network architecture and LAN and WAN protocols - SDWAN, MPLS, and others
- Solid knowledge of network management and monitoring principles and platforms (Radius, TACACs, Zabbix, PRTG, oAuth, LanSweeper, and others)
- Knowledge and work experience with DNS, DHCP, AD/ADFS, Digital Certificates, SIP/SIPTrunk, CallManagers, proxies, and reverse proxies, and others
- Valued knowledge and/or experience in network design and segmentation/separation, as well as zoning and DMZs strategies and design
- Valued work experience in the travel industry
