Recognized as a Great Place to Work for eight years, Pictet Technologies started in Luxembourg and expanded to Lisbon in 2022. Now, were kicking off a new chapter: building a Data Engineering team in Lisbon. And thats where you come in.

If youre a Senior Data Engineer who loves designing cloud-native pipelines, optimizing architectures, and turning raw data into scalable solutions, this is your moment.

Position: Senior Data Engineer (Hybrid in Lisbon)

What youll be doing (in the most epic way possible):

• Design and develop cloud-based data pipelines to transform raw data into structured formats.
• Implement and maintain high-performance batch and streaming pipelines with monitoring and alerting.
• Manage large, complex datasets ensuring functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support data governance initiatives by cataloging and describing metadata.
• Optimize SQL queries and leverage tools like DBT Core.
• Ensure best practices in CI/CD and version control using GitHub/GitLab.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Stay ahead of the curve with the latest tech trends.

What you bring to the table:

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong AWS expertise.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with analytical databases (DBT is a plus).
• Proficiency in Python and libraries like Pandas, Boto3.
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform is a plus).
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions, Prefect).
• AWS and Snowflake certifications are a strong advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in English (Portuguese and/or French is a plus).
