Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Lisbon. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's IT infrastructure, ensuring its smooth functioning and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT systems
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Ensure the security and integrity of company data and systems
- Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement new technologies and processes
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery tests
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in system administration
- Provide technical support to employees and resolve any IT-related issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in system administration
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proven track record of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
