Job Title: Java Enterprise Edition Developer

Location: Lisbon - Hybrid

Job Description:

As a Java Enterprise Edition Developer at Nimber, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java EE technologies. You will work closely with our team of developers, project managers, and clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. Your role will involve writing efficient and scalable code, conducting thorough testing, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop Java EE applications based on client requirements

- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement best practices for software development

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

- Conduct thorough testing to ensure high-quality and error-free applications

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during development or in production

- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Java EE technologies

- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members to provide updates and gather feedback

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality

- Continuously improve and optimize existing applications for better performance and user experience

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- 1+ year of experience in Java EE development

- Strong understanding of Java EE technologies, such as Servlets, JSP, EJB, JPA, JMS, and Web Services

- Experience with popular Java EE frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, or Struts

- Proficient in using development tools and IDEs, such as Eclipse or NetBeans

- Knowledge of database design and SQL

- Experience with Agile development methodologies

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to write clean and maintainable code

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
