What we are looking for / tasks associated with the position:
We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong foundation in Python, SQL, and big data technologies to develop, operate, and maintain data processing applications on an AWS-based big data platform. The ideal candidate will have experience working in cloud environments, be able to collaborate effectively within a small team, and be highly skilled in data manipulation and processing. This role will focus on building scalable data pipelines, performing data analysis, and supporting data science initiatives to drive insights and add value across the organization.

Must have:
- Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and with global teams
- Ability for critical analysis and focused on problem solving
- Commitment to quality of deliveries

Nice to have:
- Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities market and GDPR
- Knowledge of Agile methodology, JIRA and Confluence tools
- Experience in projects
- Experience in AWS cloud (e.g. S3, Lambda, Athena, EC2, Glue, CDK / Cloud formation, Step Functions, Batch, Fargate, )
- Spark / Pyspark
- Git
- Jupyter notebooks
- Experience developing applications and/or working in production environments
- Teamwork
- Initiative
- Enjoyment and autonomy when looking for solutions to problems
- Interest in learning new skills

Top Skills:
- Experience with Python, particularly in data manipulation and processing
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in programming and debugging
- Interest in the area of data science

Years of Experience: up to 9 years of experience in the role for the service to be contracted
