Position: Database Administrator 

Location: Remote from UE

Data & Analytics department

The Data & Analytics department within the company develops the data platform and data architecture of the company. There is an ambitious goal to develop a full secure and innovative managed self-service capability with Power BI and Power Automate. Therefor we would like to extend the team with a Database Administrator.

Database Administrator

The role

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as database reorganizations and updates.
  • Design and implement database structures and create and modify database objects, such as tables, indexes, and constraints.
  • Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Optimize database queries and indexes to improve overall system performance.
  • Investigate and resolve database-related issues and errors.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Implement data validation checks and quality assurance processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the data connections, gateways, report performance, and data accuracy.

Whats needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimal 7 years experience as a database administrator or in a related role.
  • Proficiency in database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL DB).
  • Strong SQL skills for query optimization and data manipulation.
  • Strong Microsoft AZURE capabilities
  • Experience managing database migrations, SSIS packages, and SSAS.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues.
  • Experience in performance monitoring and tuning of databases.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy, security and integrity.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
