Position: Senior IT Business Analyst - Credit Risk (Ratings & LGD)
Location: Porto (Hybrid)
Job Summary
We're looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join a high-impact Credit Risk technology team responsible for applications supporting counterparty rating assessment and Loss Given Default (LGD) calculations.
In this role, you'll sit at the crossroads of business, risk and technology, helping shape solutions that support critical risk management processes within a complex financial environment. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, risk experts and development teams to gather requirements, define solutions, validate deliveries and drive continuous improvements across key applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze and challenge business requirements related to Credit Risk and Rating applications;
- Produce high-quality functional specifications and business documentation;
- Act as the main interface between business stakeholders and IT teams;
- Support the evolution and maintenance of applications responsible for rating and LGD calculations;
- Facilitate workshops and requirement clarification sessions;
- Define, prepare and execute functional test cases and validation activities;
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business users;
- Provide first-line functional support and assist in issue resolution;
- Ensure knowledge transfer and proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle;
- Identify process inefficiencies, application gaps and improvement opportunities;
- Collaborate with developers, testers and business teams in Agile environments;
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across the team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst within financial services environments;
- Academic or professional background in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Banking or related fields;
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements;
- Proven experience working across the full project lifecycle, from analysis to testing and deployment;
- Solid understanding of software delivery and business application ecosystems;
- Strong SQL knowledge and ability to analyze application data;
- Experience working closely with both technical and business stakeholders;
- Excellent documentation and functional specification writing skills;
- Experience defining and executing test cases and functional validation activities;
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities;
- Experience working within Agile environments, particularly Scrum;
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have
- Previous experience within Credit Risk, Ratings, LGD, Basel or Regulatory Risk domains;
- Experience supporting risk calculation or risk monitoring platforms;
- Knowledge of banking products and financial markets;
- Familiarity with counterparty risk assessment processes;
- Experience working within large international financial institutions;
- French language skills;
- Exposure to data analysis and reporting environments.
