Position: Business Analyst - Business Intelligence
Location: Porto (Hybrid)
Job Summary
We're looking for a Business Analyst with a strong Business Intelligence background to join an international team responsible for delivering data-driven solutions that support governance, compliance, regulatory reporting and executive decision-making.
In this role, you'll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex requirements into meaningful analytics and reporting solutions. You'll work across the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and functional analysis to testing, deployment and continuous improvement.
You'll be part of a dynamic environment where data plays a critical role in supporting risk identification, regulatory obligations, operational supervision and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements from multiple stakeholders;
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and BI solutions;
- Work closely with technical teams throughout development and delivery phases;
- Participate in the design and evolution of reporting, analytics and decision-support solutions;
- Contribute to maintenance, enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with business and technical stakeholders;
- Define and execute functional testing activities, including test plans and test cases;
- Support production deployments and validate delivered solutions;
- Analyze data and ensure consistency, quality and relevance of reporting outputs;
- Produce clear functional documentation, workshop reports and project deliverables;
- Collaborate in Agile delivery environments and participate in project ceremonies;
- Establish strong relationships with teams across different business and technology domains.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within Business Intelligence, Data or Reporting projects;
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements;
- Solid SQL querying skills and ability to analyze complex datasets;
- Experience working with reporting and analytics solutions;
- Strong understanding of data models, data flows and information management concepts;
- Experience participating in testing activities, validation processes and user acceptance testing;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously;
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail;
- Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies;
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence;
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

Nice to Have
- Previous experience in banking, financial services or regulated environments;
- Knowledge of compliance, governance or regulatory reporting domains;
- Experience designing and maintaining semantic models within Power BI;
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including ODS, Data Warehouse and Data Mart architectures;
- Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate;
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise data platforms;
- French language proficiency;
- Exposure to executive reporting and KPI management frameworks.
