Bookkeeper / Assistant Dealership Accountant | Job Vacancy | Pretoria

A leading automotive dealership group is seeking a detail-driven Assistant Dealership Accountant / Junior Accountant to support full financial operations within a fast-paced motor retail environment.

Report to: FM

It is essential that you ensure you qualify for the position based on the below before applying, we are not looking for any accounting staff outside of the motor industry. Please ensure you qualify prior to applying.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Junior Accountant / Assistant Accountant, with this experience being strictly within a motor dealership environment and recent (within the last 3 years only)
• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience in dealer management systems (Evolve, Kerridge, Pinnacle, Automate, Autoline) — this is a non-negotiable requirement
• Grade 12 (Matric)

Key Responsibilities:

• Debtors and creditors processing and reconciliation

• Daily bank statement review and cash allocation

• Accurate invoicing of vehicles, parts, and workshop/service transactions

• Credit note control and supporting documentation compliance

• Inventory checks and physical stock counts

• Assistance with month-end and year-end financial processes

• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations

• Support the Accountant with ad hoc financial reporting tasks

• Training and supervision of junior finance staff

Location: Pretoria

Salary: R28 000 - R35 000 pm
