FINANCE MANAGER (FM) – AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP

A well-established automotive dealership is seeking an experienced Finance Manager (FM) to take full responsibility for financial management and reporting within a high-performance motor industry environment.
This role requires strong dealership finance experience, advanced technical accounting ability, and the capability to manage full financial control functions in a fast-paced operational setting.
Minimum Requirements

BCom Accounting with completed articles (essential)

Minimum 3 years articles + 2 years post-articles experience

Strong motor industry / dealership finance experience advantageous

Experience with Easi BI accounting systems (essential)

Strong understanding of dealership financial processes and controls
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Department Management
-
Prepare accurate and timeous monthly financial management reports
- Apply company policies relating to parts ageing, demo depreciation, and used vehicle depreciation

Manage and reconcile all control accounts

Monitor Easi BI expense movements and reconcile to management reports
- Maintain daily cashbook processing and monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts

Process receipts for vehicle payments and sundry income from banks
- Allocate monthly warranty payments and OEM incentives, including query resolution
- Monitor payment documentation and prepare daily payment batches for authorisation
- Follow up on debtor and creditor balances older than 60 days on a bi-weekly basis

Load monthly creditor payments after confirmation of balances
- Monitor service and parts cash outstanding and resolve queries with relevant departments
- Provide support across departments and log system queries where required
2. Payroll Input & Reporting
- Prepare and submit monthly payroll input sheets with supporting documentation to Head Office HR
- Verify monthly commission and incentive calculations for applicable employees
3. Team Management & Performance Culture
- Determine staffing requirements and training needs to meet operational standards
- Conduct monthly performance reviews and monitor employee performance
- Motivate and develop team members to achieve high performance standards
