Our Client

Our client is a chinese bank in Hong Kong seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) or Deputy CRO to lead their risk management efforts.

Job Description

Fully responsible for the risk management of the bank, integrating key decision points from the perspective of risk management to drive business growth and profitability.

Formulate a comprehensive risk management framework and determine risk appetite in accordance with the companys strategic plan.

Develop and improve business risk management, control systems, and related processes; establish risk assessment, monitoring, early warning, and prevention mechanisms.

Design product risk management policies, risk assessment models, and processes; conduct risk analysis and assessment of projects, effectively managing key risk indicators.

Oversee product and business process design innovations (such as big data and artificial intelligence) in risk management, issuing risk identification, assessment, and management plans.

Build and lead the risk management team, continuously enhancing the professional capabilities of team members.

Research and analyze industry-related regulations and policies, updating and improving the risk management system in a timely manner.

Serve as a member or chairman of various risk management committees, providing expert risk control advice and guidance to the CEO and business management team.

The Successful Applicant

Minimum of 18 years of experience in banking and financial risk management, with over 6 years in risk management at a local bank in Hong Kong.

Strong expertise in credit risk, specifically with experience in SME credit risk assessment and approval.

Ability to lead a team in enhancing the risk management framework and fostering a robust risk management culture.

Keen insight into financial markets and emerging risk trends.

Possess leadership qualities, integrity, humility, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Strong active learning ability and a desire to challenge the status quo.

Rigorous analytical thinking skills in business operations and execution.

Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of establishing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
