Job Overview

We are hiring an established Private Banker focused on the External Asset Manager (EAM) channel. You will leverage your existing HNW/UHNW and EAM network to migrate minimum USD 100 million AUM onto our custody & wealth platform, while nurturing long-term EAM partnerships and delivering full-spectrum private banking advisory. We offer an uncapped, high-performance commission structure with payout rates up to 50% on eligible revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities

AUM Migration & EAM Channel Growth

  • Transfer a minimum of USD 100 million existing client AUM across EAM and direct HNW relationships onto our banking platform within agreed ramp-up timeline.
  • Source, onboard and retain independent EAMs, multi-family offices and independent wealth advisors in Hong Kong & Greater China.
  • Design tailored custody, execution, financing and reporting packages for EAM discretionary portfolios to drive recurring fee income.
  • Hit monthly/quarterly AUM inflow, trading volume and revenue KPIs via new EAM partner acquisition and deepening wallet share of existing counterparts.

HNW/UHNW Wealth Advisory

  • Provide holistic wealth planning for high-net-worth clients referred by your EAM network, covering asset allocation, Lombard lending, FX, trust & succession planning, alternatives and structured investments.
  • Run regular portfolio reviews, risk profiling and rebalancing exercises for both end clients and their appointed EAMs.

Third-Party Coordination & Operations

  • Act as the main liaison between EAM portfolio managers, internal trading, credit, back-office and compliance teams to ensure seamless trade execution, settlement and consolidated reporting.
  • Manage full KYC/AML onboarding for EAM counterparties and underlying HNW clients, fully complying with SFC Type 4 / 9 and HKMA regulations.

Business Development & Reporting

  • Host EAM roundtables, client seminars and market update sessions to expand your referral pipeline.
  • Maintain complete CRM audit trails and submit periodic growth reports tracking migrated AUM, new EAM sign-ups and commission-eligible revenue.

Requirements

Track Record & Network

  • 5–8+ years front-office private banking / EAM channel experience in Hong Kong.
  • Proven existing book of HNW clients and established EAM relationships, with ability to migrate minimum USD 100M AUM to our platform.
  • History of hitting AUM and revenue growth targets at private bank or custodian institutions.

Regulatory & Technical Knowledge

  • Hold or able to obtain SFC Type 4 (Advising on Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) licenses.
  • Deep understanding of tripartite EAM-custodian-client operating model, multi-asset portfolios, Lombard financing and offshore wealth structuring.

Language & Soft Skills

  • Fluent English + native Mandarin; conversational Cantonese preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills to engage EAM founders and UHNW family principals.
  • Self-driven entrepreneurial mindset with focus on revenue generation to maximise high commission earnings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA / CISI / Private Wealth Management professional qualifications.
  • Prior experience at international private banks with dedicated EAM channel teams.
  • Existing USD 100M+ transferable custodian AUM book ready for platform migration.
