About the job Plant Auditor
We're looking for a detail-oriented Auditor to support compliance, cost control, and operational efficiency within our manufacturing operations. This role ensures financial integrity, adherence to regulations, and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with federal milk marketing orders and other food production regulations.

Provide documentation and insights for internal and external audits.

Perform audits of inventory, production, and waste management systems to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Monitor compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with plant managers to identify cost-saving initiatives, reduce waste, and optimize resource use.

Support inventory management through cycle counts, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Contribute to SOX compliance by ensuring transparent and auditable cost accounting systems.

Maintain segregation of duties and implement IT controls across production, procurement, and finance systems.

Prepare thorough audit documentation and maintain financial workflow controls.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience in cost accounting, auditing, or financial analysis preferably in manufacturing or food production.

Familiarity with dairy operations and federal milk order compliance is a plus.

Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel; experience with data visualization tools preferred.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Knowledge of waste management practices and environmental compliance standards.

Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
