Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated IP Team Lead to oversee a team of medical coders, auditors, trainers, or customer service agents. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality output, supporting client needs, and guiding the personal and professional growth of team members. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations including task assignments, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely resolution of quality issues.

  • Allocate resources effectively to consistently meet reporting and performance targets.

  • Address client queries and concerns promptly, providing solutions and building strong client relationships.

  • Participate in client teleconferences to enhance collaboration and trust.

  • Generate and analyze reports using MS Office tools to monitor performance and quality.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions with staff.

  • Share client updates with the team in a timely manner and ensure compliance with directives.

  • Oversee scheduling, leave management, and staffing levels to maintain smooth operations.

  • Ensure month-end deliverables are met and submit reports for management review.

  • Support staff development through training, coaching, and incentive program recommendations.

  • Guide team representatives (POC) in addressing client concerns and providing accurate solutions.

  • Contribute to a positive team culture through professionalism, teamwork, adaptability, and mutual respect.

  • Perform other tasks as required to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any four-year course, preferably in life sciences.

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Team Lead in the medical coding industry.

  • Certification in medical coding and auditing (e.g., AHIMA, AAPC) preferred.

  • Strong supervisory, leadership, and management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in American English.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools.

  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

  • Results-driven, goal-oriented, and able to handle shifting priorities.

  • Approachable, objective, and skilled in giving and receiving constructive feedback.

  • Must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
