About the job Data Center Pre-Sales & Fulfillment Lead/Architect
Job Title: Lead Architect Data Center Pre-Sales & Fulfillment
Role Summary
A highly technical and cross-functional role focused on designing and delivering infrastructure solutions within data center environments. The Lead Architect will manage both pre-sales solution development and the execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring client requirements are met through cost-effective, compliant, and scalable solutions. The position involves close collaboration with sales teams, operations, engineering, and project management units to bring customer deployments from concept to reality.
Core Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Pre-Sales Engagement
-
Develop infrastructure designs using existing data center assets such as power, cooling, space, structured cabling, and network services.
-
Interpret and validate technical documents including MEP layouts, power load sheets, and riser diagrams to ensure capacity alignment.
-
Identify gaps in infrastructure (e.g., high-density compute or alternative cooling methods) and coordinate escalation to engineering and design teams for potential integration.
-
Ensure proposed solutions are technically viable, cost-efficient, and executable by delivery teams.
Project Coordination & Implementation Oversight
-
Serve as the single point of coordination across internal departments for infrastructure build-outs.
-
Manage delivery from solution finalization through implementation, including documentation, resource allocation, and service activation.
-
Oversee on-site activities when required, conducting walkthroughs and validating system installations.
Capacity Management & Engineering Collaboration
-
Monitor infrastructure capacity (power, space, cooling) across sites to support current and future project planning.
-
Work closely with engineering and operations to ensure accurate provisioning and planning for expansions.
-
Provide input into infrastructure scaling strategies based on project demand and site limitations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
-
Collaborate with sales and product teams to support solution scoping during pre-sales.
-
Facilitate knowledge transfer and post-deployment handoffs to operations and customer support teams.
-
Act as a technical liaison in internal discussions and customer-facing engagements.
Governance, Documentation & Incident Support
-
Participate in the technical incident management rotation for provisioning and deployment-related issues.
-
Maintain detailed project records including capacity trackers, BOMs, implementation logs, and audit-ready documentation.
-
Ensure all solution and fulfillment artifacts meet internal standards and compliance requirements.
Ideal Qualifications
Education & Certification
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
-
Active engineering license (Philippines) required.
-
Relevant certifications preferred: CDCP, CDCS, or similar credentials in data center infrastructure or operations.
Experience & Technical Expertise
-
35 years of experience in data center infrastructure, with hands-on exposure to project execution, commissioning, or design review.
-
Proficiency with technical drawing tools (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) and the ability to analyze SLAs, schematics, and equipment layouts.
-
In-depth knowledge of core systems: power (UPS, STS, PDUs), cooling systems (DX, chilled water), and structured cabling.
-
Familiarity with deployment of IT and network hardware, including patching and cross-connects.
-
Understanding of data center compliance standards such as TIA-942, ISO QMS, and Uptime frameworks.
-
Financial skills related to cost modeling, budgeting, and risk mitigation for infrastructure projects.
-
Experience coordinating with vendors and managing third-party service delivery.
