Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Data Visualization Developer to design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that deliver clear, data-driven insights to business users. This role supports decision-making across functions such as finance, operations, actuarial, and risk, turning large and complex datasets into meaningful stories through impactful visuals.

The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of data modeling, storytelling, and visualization best practices, with hands-on experience in business intelligence platforms and shared services environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Translate business requirements into functional visuals that provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Partner with analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather data sources and define KPIs.
  • Maintain and optimize reporting solutions for performance, usability, and scalability.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency in all visualizations and underlying datasets.
  • Support data storytelling by guiding teams on how to interpret and act on visual insights.
  • Document reporting standards, data definitions, and dashboard specifications.
  • Stay current with visualization trends, UX design, and emerging BI tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data visualization, BI development, or reporting analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one BI tool (Power BI preferred; Tableau or Qlik acceptable).
  • Solid understanding of data structures, queries (SQL), and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and visualization best practices (chart types, interactivity, storytelling).
  • Excellent attention to detail, design sensibility, and user-focused thinking.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in insurance, financial services, or shared services is a plus.
