Commercial Finance Analyst

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this is an analyst role within the Finance function that plays a critical role in assisting Commercial and Operations functions track performance in the context of Group targets as well as supporting the Groups strategic forecasting process.

Skills; Attributes & Qualifications

• Ideally Qualified Accountant (exposure to CFA or other Finance qualifications helpful)
• Commercial finance experience
• Excellent Excel Skills and ability to use BI reporting tools
• Organised, proactive and independent thinker
• Analytically minded with strong critical thinking skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to collaborate within Group Finance but importantly with colleagues outside the Finance function
• Ability to multitask, work independently and be deadline focused in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain key operational and revenue performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards that provide business leaders with actionable financial data through our weekly internal reporting framework.
• Ownership of product pricing and providing detailed analysis and key insights on price / volume movements. (Including competitor analysis and monitoring)
• Support the debt covenant reporting process.
• Preparation of Investment Appraisal documents to evaluate potential investment opportunities or capital expenditures by performing return on investment (ROI) analyses.
• Collaborate with department heads to prepare annual budgets during the annual budgeting setting process and forecasting cycle
• Develop and analyse financial models to support critical initiatives.
• Identify continuous improvements in the reporting process.
• Ad-hoc duties, scenario planning and & projects.
