Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit and risk management, particularly within the insurance industry. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strong interpersonal abilities to contribute to our commitment to excellence in financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits and risk assessments in accordance with established standards and methodologies.
• Plan, test, and report on audit and SOX compliance activities.
• Apply risk and control concepts to assess and improve internal processes.
• Lead and manage Audit/Advisory projects and SOX efforts as needed.
• Utilize data analytics to enhance audit processes and reporting.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to management.
• Stay current with industry regulations and best practices related to auditing and risk management.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of audit/risk management experience in a public accounting firm and/or corporate organization.
• IT-Specific Positions: IT-related audit/risk management experience preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Previous audit and/or SOX experience in the insurance industry (e.g., Insurance, Reinsurance, Mortgage Insurance) is ideal, particularly within a global firm.
• Skills:
  • Solid understanding of audit and SOX planning, testing, and reporting requirements.
  • Data analytics skills and experience with tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Education: Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or Computer Programming.
• Certifications: Obtained or in pursuit of recognized accounting/auditing qualifications (e.g., CPA/ACCA/CA, CISA, CIA, CISSP). Additional certifications (e.g., MBA, CIMA, CGMA) are a plus.
• Soft Skills: Confident with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a team environment and adapt to new circumstances and challenges.
