Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and analytical QA Engineer III to lead quality assurance efforts for systems handling actuarial models, insurance datasets, and financial risk analysis. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data processed across actuarial platforms, reporting tools, and analytics environments.
The ideal candidate has solid experience in data testing, complex validation workflows, and a working knowledge of actuarial or insurance-related data models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for actuarial models and data-driven applications.
- Validate data pipelines, transformations, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy in high-volume, complex datasets.
- Collaborate with actuarial analysts, data engineers, and developers to understand requirements and data flows.
- Perform regression, integration, and user acceptance testing for model releases and system enhancements.
- Use SQL and other tools to validate calculations, mappings, and results within data platforms.
- Identify data anomalies, root causes of discrepancies, and support resolution efforts.
- Maintain QA documentation, including test plans, data dictionaries, and validation rules.
- Support compliance with internal control frameworks and external regulatory standards where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in quality assurance or testing roles, with at least 2 years focused on data or actuarial testing environments.
- Strong SQL skills for writing queries and validating large datasets.
- Experience working with actuarial software, risk models, or insurance-related databases is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehouses, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile frameworks, and QA best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
