Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Advisory Supervisor to support the delivery of engagements related to financial reporting, accounting standards implementation, and transaction-based advisory services. This role involves supervising junior team members, supporting complex technical accounting projects, and working closely with clients to navigate regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, a background in audit or advisory, and experience interpreting and applying financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of accounting advisory engagements, including IFRS/local GAAP implementation, accounting policy review, financial statement preparation, and transaction accounting (e.g., business combinations, consolidations, revenue recognition).
- Supervise and review the work of junior staff, ensuring technical accuracy, clarity, and completeness of deliverables.
- Assist in the preparation of technical memos, accounting position papers, and client presentations.
- Conduct research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues and evolving standards.
- Coordinate with clients to gather information, clarify issues, and support timely project completion.
- Contribute to the development and standardization of templates, tools, and methodology across the team.
- Help monitor project timelines, quality, and budget adherence.
- Stay updated on accounting and regulatory changes and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy; CPA required.
- 4-6 years of experience in external audit, financial reporting, or accounting advisory services.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, local GAAP, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Experience handling technical accounting issues and drafting financial statements or disclosures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to supervise and coach junior staff and manage components of client engagements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with financial reporting tools is a plus.
