Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and client-focused CPA Manager to lead audit and assurance engagements across a portfolio of clients. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end audit delivery, supervising teams, maintaining audit quality, and driving value-added insights for clients.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in external audit, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage both people and client relationships in a fast-paced, professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit and assurance engagements in compliance with auditing standards and internal methodologies.
- Manage multiple engagement teams and ensure high-quality output, timely delivery, and adherence to budget.
- Provide technical guidance to team members and serve as the escalation point for complex accounting or audit matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and providing relevant insights.
- Review financial statements, workpapers, and audit documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Identify areas of process improvement or risk mitigation and communicate findings effectively to clients.
- Support the development and implementation of internal initiatives, including quality control, methodology updates, and innovation in audit delivery.
- Mentor and coach junior staff and contribute to performance evaluations and career development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy or related field; must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- At least 7-10 years of audit experience, including 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards (e.g., ISA), accounting frameworks (e.g., IFRS or local GAAP), and audit methodologies.
- Experience managing audit engagements across multiple sectors; financial services exposure is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, develop talent, and lead client conversations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in audit tools and Microsoft Office; experience with data analytics or audit automation tools is an advantage.
