Job Posting: Finance Analyst Insurance Operations (Night Shift)

Join an industry-leading Property & Casualty insurance carrier that partners with reinsurers, MGAs, program administrators, and insurtechs. We provide access to commercial and personal lines across all 50 states, and were looking for a dynamic Finance Analyst to enhance our operations.

Position Overview:
As a Finance Analyst, you will support the finance department and contribute to our growth within a talented team. Your skills and experience will play a key role in our success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly program journal entries for direct and ceded business.
• Reconcile cash with each programs premium bordereaux on a monthly basis.
• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory statements, including footnotes and schedules.
• Assist with compliance data calls and annual external audits.
• Identify and implement efficiencies in the monthly close process.
• Support the implementation of a data feed into the general ledger for streamlined reporting.
• Build reports for quarterly and annual statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with the Claims Manager to ensure timely funding of TPAs.
• Assist in preparing presentation slides for Board and Audit committee meetings.
• Engage in various ad hoc projects as needed.
• Work with reinsurance, actuarial, and program managers to resolve reconciling items.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years in an insurance accounting role within a property & casualty company, with expertise in statutory reporting software.
• Skills:
  • Client-centric mindset focused on delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
• Education: Bachelors degree preferred.
