Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Business Development Director to lead client acquisition, relationship management, and growth initiatives within a professional services environment. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth through strategic engagement with organizations in sectors such as financial services, advisory, audit, tax, and risk consulting.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consultative selling, solution development, and building long-term relationships with C-level executives across large, complex organizations. Experience working within or selling into global consulting, BPO, legal, or assurance firms is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead go-to-market strategies that position the firms services to meet evolving client needs in professional services, audit, tax, and advisory-related markets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic accounts, and high-value partnerships.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline through industry networking, prospecting, referrals, and thought leadership participation.
- Lead end-to-end business development effortsfrom initial conversations to solution scoping, proposals, negotiations, and deal closure.
- Partner with internal service and delivery teams to create compelling, client-specific solutions that align with regulatory, financial, and operational requirements.
- Analyze market trends and client behaviors to identify new areas of growth and shape competitive positioning.
- Contribute to brand visibility and business reputation through participation in industry forums, webinars, and strategic partnerships.
- Guide and mentor junior business development professionals to improve pipeline generation, conversion, and relationship management capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a strong advantage.
- 10+ years of business development experience within professional services, consulting, or a B2B solutions environment.
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing large, multi-service accountsespecially in industries such as financial services, legal, risk, or audit.
- Excellent commercial acumen and strong understanding of client needs within highly regulated and relationship-driven sectors.
- Strong consultative sales approach with ability to engage and influence C-suite executives and enterprise stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with CRM tools and reporting on pipeline health, forecasts, and growth metrics.
