Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns (corporate, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.) in compliance with local and international tax laws.
  • Ensure all filings, payments, and tax-related deadlines are met promptly and accurately.
  • Review tax filings and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organizations tax position.
  • Advise on tax implications of business transactions, acquisitions, and restructuring.
  • Conduct tax planning and risk management activities to minimize the companys overall tax burden.
  • Lead and manage tax audits, assessments, and disputes with tax authorities.
  • Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities to resolve issues and maintain a positive relationship.
  • Prepare tax documentation and responses for audits, assessments, and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure the tax team is up to date with the latest tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Legal, and Operations to align tax strategies with overall business goals.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies to minimize tax-related risks.
  • Prepare and present tax reports to senior management, highlighting potential tax risks, opportunities, and impacts on the organization.
  • Ensure all tax filings, returns, and payments align with corporate governance standards.
  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure full alignment on corporate structure and tax planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, MBA, or Masters in Taxation preferred).
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in corporate tax, with a significant portion of that in a managerial or senior role.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international tax laws, transfer pricing, and corporate tax strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with tax audits, dispute resolution, and managing external tax advisors.
