Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Merchandising Manager to lead and oversee the product development and production lifecycle for apparel or fashion goods, from buyer communication to order fulfillment. This role ensures timely coordination between design, production, and logistics teams while maintaining quality, cost targets, and client satisfactiontypically within a fast-paced manufacturing or export environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in merchandising for garments or accessories, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple buyer accounts and production timelines simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact between clients/buyers and internal teams for all merchandising and production-related matters.
  • Lead the planning and execution of product development, including sample coordination, pricing, material selection, and approvals.
  • Manage order tracking from development through delivery, ensuring timelines, cost, and quality targets are met.
  • Coordinate with design, technical, sourcing, and production teams to align on client expectations and feasibility.
  • Monitor production progress, anticipate delays, and communicate proactively with buyers and factory teams.
  • Analyze market trends, buyer behavior, and previous sales data to support strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous process improvement in product development and order management workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in garments, accessories, or export manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of product development cycles, costing, and production coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients or product lines under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience dealing directly with buyers.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and product management or PLM tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
