Position Overview: The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the HR departments core functions, including compensation and benefits, payroll, hiring, and people management. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of HR experience, with a strong background in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compensation and Benefits:
  • Develop, implement, and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs tailored to the automotive industry.
  • Conduct salary surveys and benchmarking specific to the automotive sector to ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and industry-specific perks.
  • Advise employees on benefits-related inquiries and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Payroll Management:
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including automotive industry-specific compensation structures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations relevant to the automotive sector.
  • Review and approve payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Work with accounting and finance departments to manage payroll budgets and forecasts.
  • Hiring and Recruitment:
  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent within the automotive industry.
  • Manage the end-to-end hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs specific to automotive roles and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Maintain and enhance the companys recruitment pipeline and talent pool in the automotive sector.
  • People Management:
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and career development within the automotive industry.
  • Implement and oversee employee performance appraisal systems tailored to automotive roles.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives.
  • HR Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations specific to the automotive industry.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR policies with a focus on automotive sector compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to inform decision-making and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on compensation and benefits, payroll, and recruitment, within the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices as they apply to the automotive sector.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and payroll software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Certification from a professional HR organization (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools.
