About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Manager to lead the delivery of finance and compliance services across a range of Australian clients. This role involves overseeing daily bookkeeping operations, ensuring accurate reporting, managing small teams, and working closely with internal and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bookkeeping for multiple Australian clients, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations

  • Oversee BAS, IAS, STP submissions, TPAR, and other compliance reporting

  • Review financial reports to ensure accuracy and timely delivery

  • Manage and support a team of bookkeepers or junior accountants

  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and accounting standards

  • Maintain strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation

  • Support financial reporting and contribute to operational efficiency

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Australian bookkeeping or accounting

  • At least 2 years in a team lead or review role

  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax, payroll, and superannuation regulations

  • Experience using cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple client portfolios

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

  • CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus
