Job Title: Accounting and Finance Manager

Job Description:

As the Accounting and Finance Manager for our client in Siargao, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting and finance departments. Your primary duties will include monitoring and analyzing accounting and finance data, producing financial reports, establishing and enforcing proper accounting and finance methods, policies, and principles, ensuring timely delivery of financial statements and reports, and providing recommendations for process improvement.

Accounting Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.

- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements using the Xero Accounting System.

- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles according to GAAP.

- Ensure timely delivery of financial statements and month-end reports to business segments.

- Coordinate with the Chief Finance Officer to prepare an accounting manual.

- Provide recommendations for improving the accounting process.

Finance Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the daily sales and remittance activities for Barna Hosco Inc. & Affiliates.

- Monitor and analyze finance data and produce bank reconciliation reports in the Xero Accounting System.

- Establish and enforce proper replenishment of petty cash funds.

- Ensure proper allocation of funds for loans, tax payments, and budgets.

- Close affiliates advances, advances to suppliers, employees, and officers at each month-end.

- Produce financial reports related to budgets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses.

- Coordinate with the Chief Finance Officer to prepare a finance manual.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting.

- 7 to 10 years of working experience in a similar role.

- Proficiency in using the Xero Accounting System.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Willingness to start immediately and relocate with relocation assistance if required.
