Job Title: Project Manager - Bayanihan For Farmed Animals (BFF) Program
Job Summary:
As the Project Manager for the Bayanihan For Farmed Animals (BFF) Program, you will lead efforts to protect farmed animals, particularly during disasters and zoonotic disease outbreaks. Your role will focus on integrating farmed animal welfare into local disaster preparedness strategies, collaborating closely with local government units (LGUs) and community leaders. Through fostering partnerships and community involvement, you will help establish a sustainable framework for the humane care of farmed animals in times of crisis.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement strategic project plans that align with BFF program goals.
- Work with LGUs to ensure farmed animal welfare is included in disaster preparedness and response efforts.
- Manage project milestones, timelines, and budgets to ensure they meet organizational standards.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with LGUs, community leaders, and key partners.
- Act as the main point of contact between AEP and local representatives, promoting collaboration.
Training & Capacity Building
- Lead workshops and outreach programs to raise awareness on farmed animal welfare.
- Equip local communities with practical, sustainable approaches to protect farmed animals, particularly in emergencies.
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Create systems to monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved.
- Provide regular reports on project performance, identifying successes and areas for improvement.
Advocacy & Public Awareness
- Advocate for the inclusion of farmed animal welfare in local and national disaster risk reduction policies.
- Lead public awareness campaigns to educate Filipinos on how they can contribute to farmed animal welfare.
Resource Management
- Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances, ensuring efficient use and compliance with guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Management, Animal Welfare, Disaster Risk Management, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in project management, preferably in the non-profit or NGO sector.
- Proven success working with government agencies and community stakeholders.
- Experience in animal welfare or disaster risk reduction is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, especially with LGUs and community leaders.
- Proficiency in project planning, budget management, and reporting.
- Familiarity with disaster preparedness, farmed animal welfare, and zoonotic diseases is an asset.
