Job Summary:
We are hiring a results-driven Accounting Supervisor to oversee day-to-day financial operations in a shared services or enterprise support setting. The role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, process compliance, and team performance across accounting functions including payables, receivables, general ledger, and tax reporting. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational integrity and supporting continuous process improvement.
The ideal candidate has solid leadership experience in accounting operations, strong familiarity with accounting standards, and is comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, treasury, and financial reporting.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with internal policies and external reporting standards (e.g., US GAAP).
- Prepare and review financial reports, journal entries, and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee implementation of accounting policies, process controls, and documentation practices.
- Monitor KPIs, identify process improvement opportunities, and support automation or efficiency initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate the performance of junior accountants and accounting staff.
- Support audit preparation, regulatory compliance, and periodic internal reviews.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, tax, payroll, operations) to ensure seamless financial workflows.
- Investigate and resolve variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting frameworks (preferably US GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management capability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willing to work onsite and during night shift hours as required.
