About the job

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing and maintaining Oracle databases, as well as a strong understanding of database architecture and design. The Senior Oracle DBA will be responsible for overseeing the performance, integrity, and security of our clients' databases, and will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to ensure the smooth operation of all database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain multiple Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance

- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise

- Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies

- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate access controls and security measures

- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs

- Perform database upgrades and migrations as needed

- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data models, schemas, and data dictionaries

- Provide technical support and guidance to other members of the IT team

- Stay up-to-date with the latest database trends and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to our database systems

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA

- Extensive experience with Oracle database administration, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security

- Strong understanding of database architecture and design principles

- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools

- Knowledge of database migration and upgrade processes

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Oracle certifications are a plus
