Role Summary
Take ownership of a leading bank's software delivery performance via their Internal Developer Platform; Driving automation, AI integration, and software delivery excellence. You'll enable scalable, reliable engineering processes, champion best practices, and modernize workflows across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop an Internal Developer Platform with standardized CI/CD pipelines, self-service tools, and "golden paths" for engineers.
• Automate the SDLC, targeting minimal manual involvement and reducing operational burdens.
• Lead and mentor DevOps/SRE engineers, fostering a culture focused on automation, ownership, and accountability.
• Promote platform adoption and best practices through enablement and advocacy, not central control.
• Embed AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) in engineering processes for code generation, incident analysis, and testing optimization.
• Continuously improve SDLC efficiency—cutting lead times, failure rates, and overhead.
• Design, maintain, and scale robust CI/CD systems with rapid feedback loops.
• Enforce quality gates (testing, security, and container scanning) with automation.
• Standardize use of Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code.
• Ensure consistent, reproducible, and auditable environments across the entire lifecycle.
• Evolve the observability stack for metrics, logs, and traces; drive SLO/SLI-based reliability.
• Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation where feasible.
• Lead reliability engineering: incident response, postmortems, and error budget management.
• Solve complex distributed systems challenges and remove performance bottlenecks.
• Embed security features—RBAC, secrets, network policies, and automated compliance—by design.
• Optimize cloud and infrastructure costs, maximizing resource efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product to advance developer experience.
• Train and support teams on platform features and AI-enhanced development.

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, including leadership.
• Hands-on background with scalable platforms and distributed systems.
• Evidence of building developer platforms or self-service ecosystems.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD, automation, and large-scale infrastructure.
• Practical AI tool integration experience (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot).
• Track record improving SDLC KPIs: lead time, deployment frequency, MTTR.
• Expertise with Kubernetes and containers.
• Proficient in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong in IaC (Terraform) and config management (Ansible).
• Solid scripting or coding ability (Python, Go, comparable languages).
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Understanding of reliability engineering concepts—SLOs, SLIs, error budgets.
• Knowledge of modern DevSecOps and security practices.
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
