Role Overview
As the Head of Treasury Application Support, you will lead a specialized team responsible for supporting and maintaining critical treasury applications within a leading financial institution. This role is central to ensuring the stability, availability, and compliance of systems that underpin trading, liquidity management, and securities activities. You will coordinate incident resolution, enforce operational controls, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and regulatory requirements.

You should be analytical, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including auditors and regulators.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Treasury Application Support team, ensuring clear definition of roles, segregation of duties, and compliance with internal policies and NBC regulatory requirements when applicable.
- Ensure the availability, stability, and controlled operation of treasury applications supporting trading, liquidity management, funding, and securities activities.
- Act as the primary escalation point for treasury-related incidents and problems, ensuring timely resolution, thorough root-cause analysis, and accurate reporting to Technology, Risk, and Treasury management.
- Maintain complete and auditable records of incidents, problems, and changes in Jira and Confluence in accordance with internal bank policies.
- Enforce strict adherence to change management, release control, and access management procedures, including workflows for privileged access control and approvals.
- Participate in backlog grooming and prioritization for treasury application changes, ensuring all changes are risk-assessed, tested, approved, and properly documented prior to deployment in production.
- Coordinate and oversee all testing activities, including UAT and regression testing, ensuring that testing evidence is accurately documented for audit and regulatory review.
- Collaborate closely with Treasury, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to support regulatory examinations, audits, and internal control assessments.
- Ensure business continuity and operational resilience for treasury applications, including implementing incident response procedures, fallback processes, and participating in business continuity planning and disaster recovery testing.
- Establish and maintain a structured knowledge base with documented procedures, known issues, and resolutions to ensure consistency and reduce operational risk.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT Operations or Application Support, preferably within banking or treasury environments.
- Have experience working in a regulated financial institution with direct exposure to regulatory audits and internal control frameworks.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of treasury business processes, including front, middle, and back-office functions.
- Have solid knowledge of fixed income products as well as other treasury products such as money market (MM), foreign exchange (FX), and securities trading workflows.
- Show a comprehensive understanding of operational risk management, incident management, change control, and access management processes.
- Have hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for IT service management and audit evidence management.
- Exhibit a strong risk-aware and control-focused mindset aligned with NBC regulatory expectations.
- Be capable of structuring and continuously improving testing, documentation, and operational procedures.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Communicate effectively with business users, regulators, auditors, and senior management.
- Have a good command of English, both written and spoken, sufficient for regulatory correspondence, audit support, and vendor communication.
