Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join a high-performing team specializing in heavy-duty truck and diesel engine repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial vehicles while working in a supportive, technician-focused environment.
This position offers steady first-shift hours with no nights or weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs according to work orders and factory standards
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues
- Inspect vehicles to determine safety and repair needs
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, driveline, and suspension components
- Service braking systems (air and hydraulic)
- Install major components including injectors, pistons, clutches, differentials, and more
- Conduct road tests to verify repairs
- Document all completed work and recommendations
- Follow all safety and industry standards
- Support efficiency and workflow planning in the shop
- Assist in mentoring junior technicians when needed
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of diesel/heavy-duty truck repair experience
- Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems
- Experience with diagnostics tools and computer-based troubleshooting
- ASE certification preferred
- 608/609 certification preferred
- Ability to perform heavy mechanical repairs independently
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to obtain CDL if required
- Must have own toolset
Work Environment
- First shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends or nights)
- Independent work with potential mentoring responsibilities
