Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of customers electrical systems while performing critical analyses and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to key projects under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, focusing on arc flash studies, power system analysis, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arc Flash Analysis:
    • Conduct short circuit calculations and medium/low-voltage coordination evaluations.
    • Optimize protective relay and breaker settings and perform arc flash studies.
    • Ensure compliance with NFPA, IEEE 1584, and other industry standards.
    • Perform on-site data collection activities, as needed.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure projects adhere to electrical codes and standards, including NFPA 70 & 70E.
    • Maintain compliance with relevant industry regulations.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Prepare engineering documents such as drawings, instructions, calculations, and evaluations in line with industry codes and client needs.
  • Technical Support:
    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver solutions tailored to specific project requirements.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting power system studies using electrical modeling software such as SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or Easy Power.
    • Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems, including data centers.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Expertise in NFPA 70 & 70E and IEEE 1584.
    • Proficiency in short circuit calculations, arc flash studies, and coordination evaluations.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills to document findings and collaborate effectively with clients and teams.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 10%-20% for project-related activities, with durations varying from a few days to a few weeks.
