Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team in either Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background in application support, incident resolution, and system troubleshooting within financial services environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Verify analysis performed by team members and implement changes required to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
  • Resolve critical application alerts promptly, including production defects, and provide business impact assessments.
  • Maintain and update knowledge articles and runbooks in collaboration with application development teams.
  • Work with internal teams to provide solutions to application issues and escalate as required.
  • Validate and submit responses to audit-related requests.
  • Review and implement Disaster Recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages, ensuring BCM evidence is provided as needed.
  • Identify and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort in application monitoring.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provide input during application design and development stages.
  • Implement pre-production/production application code deployment plans and manage the end-to-end vendor application upgrade process.
  • Align risk and control processes within daily responsibilities to mitigate risk effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in key technologies such as:

    • Java/J2EE
    • Oracle/SQL
    • IBM MQ
    • SNOW/ITIL Process
    • Splunk/Autosys
  • Strong platform experience with:

    • Linux/Unix
    • AWS
  • Preferred experience with:

    • Containers (Kubernetes/Docker)
    • IIB
    • Network understanding
  • Familiarity with Finance and Securities domain knowledge is advantageous.
