Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tooling Engineer to join our team in Ripon, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing tooling processes for the companys products. You will work collaboratively across teams to troubleshoot, improve processes, and support production operations, ensuring world-class performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve and develop manufacturing processes, including process documentation and development.
  • Design, install, and debug tooling and capital equipment.
  • Obtain tooling quotes and manage sourcing, build, and try-out processes.
  • Develop and troubleshoot stamping processes and specify forming and stamping equipment.
  • Design and develop manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and robust production processes.
  • Provide sketches and instructions to tool construction personnel.
  • Investigate and resolve tooling, processing, and assembly issues, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with product and process teams to ensure manufacturability of components prior to release.
  • Serve as a key contact for implementing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Participate in problem resolution teams and process "sign off" activities.
  • Develop specifications and analyze supplier quotations for the purchase of new production equipment, including entire manufacturing lines.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and press shop problems daily to support production.
  • Act as a liaison with R&D to ensure component manufacturability.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, OR 8 years of equivalent experience.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Pro E, and SolidWorks.
    • Experience in metal stamping as it relates to tooling.
    • Journeyman Tool and Die experience.
    • Die design experience.
  • Knowledge of design applications in stamping and molding.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and procedures.

Physical Requirements
