Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Machinist with 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and manual machining. This role involves setup, operation, and precision machining using mills, lathes, grinders, and other equipment to manufacture high-quality metal parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprints, quality control, and safety standards while ensuring efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and tolerances to ensure precision in production.
- Assemble machined components, such as manifolds and chutes.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer specifications.
- Maintain production schedules and meet on-time delivery requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Document work order progress, including production quantities and any necessary adjustments.
- Cross-train in machining and part assembly within the Change Parts department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience in CNC setup and operation, as well as manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications accurately.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to meet production deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with management and team members.
- Attention to detail to ensure precision, safety, and quality in machining processes.
Physical Requirements:
- Good eyesight and manual dexterity for operating machining and fabrication tools.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
- Clear communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required for material handling and machine operation.
