Position Description:
An opportunity is available for a Building Design Structural Engineer at a rapidly growing firm in West Austin. The ideal candidate will be an EIT or recent PE with experience in Revit and the design of educational, municipal, and/or commercial buildings. Position Summary:
The Building Design Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing commercial, municipal, and academic buildings using Revit. They will collaborate with project teams, ensure compliance with design plans, and engage with clients to address structural needs. The role includes site visits, reporting project status, and supporting senior engineers as required.
Responsibilities:
- Design buildings for commercial, municipal, and academic projects using Revit.
- Conduct site visits to ensure project progression aligns with design plans.
- Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project owners to understand design needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Attend meetings and provide support to senior engineers and PEs.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in building design (commercial, multifamily, retail, residential, municipal, etc.).
- EIT certification or recent PE designation.
- Strong experience with Revit (preferred but not mandatory).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Dedicated, energetic, and motivated to grow with the team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with multiple building types, including educational and municipal structures.
- Knowledge of structural codes and regulations.
- Familiarity with sustainability and energy-efficient building practices.
