About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to innovative designs and support manufacturing processes. This role involves creating detailed drawings, managing projects, and ensuring designs meet cost, quality, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine mechanical designs that align with customer needs.
  • Create engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and manage projects from concept to completion.
  • Support the sales team with technical expertise and assist in quoting.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure product manufacturability and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Assess material selection, cost, and reliability of product designs.
  • Conduct field tests and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
  • 13 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred; SolidWorks or similar acceptable).
  • Experience with engineering drawings, BOMs, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Hands-on experience with sheet metal, structural fabrication, welding, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team and collaborate with vendors and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with electrical motors, controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Experience with quoting and defining project scopes.
  • Background in field testing and process improvement.
