Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer – Epic Clarity with 8+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Epic Clarity, healthcare data models, SQL development, ETL processes, cloud data platforms, and enterprise analytics environments. This role will be responsible for building scalable healthcare data solutions that support clinical, operational, financial, and reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise healthcare data solutions utilizing Epic Clarity.
• Develop and support data integration solutions across healthcare and enterprise systems.
• Analyze business and reporting requirements and translate them into scalable data engineering solutions.
• Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, data models, and reporting datasets.
• Work extensively with Epic Clarity databases and healthcare data structures.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization solutions.
• Troubleshoot data quality, data integration, and production support issues.
• Perform data platform enhancements, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with architects, Epic analysts, BI developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure adherence to data engineering best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and analysts.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Software EngineeringHealthcare Analytics, or Enterprise Data Platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Epic Clarity.
• Strong understanding of Epic Clarity data models and healthcare data structures.
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and reporting solutions.
• Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic Clarity Certification.
• Experience with Epic Caboodle.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Redshift.
• Experience supporting clinical, operational, financial, and revenue cycle reporting.
• Experience working in large healthcare enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
