We are seeking a Cloud Architect in a senior-level position specializing in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for products. The ideal candidate is a versatile self-starter with a background in cloud infrastructure and strategy to meet business needs and ensure scalability, security, and efficiency.
Role and responsibilities:
- Developing and defining the product's cloud adoption strategy, considering business goals and technical requirements.
- Identifying opportunities for cloud-based solutions to optimize existing processes and drive innovation.
- Selecting appropriate Cloud services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements
- Define and implement cloud architecture best practices, high availability, and fault tolerance.
- Migrating complex, multi-tier applications on Cloud Platforms.
- Setup and maintain CI/CD web application server environments and pipelines with tools and technologies like Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes.
- You will be responsible to deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Responsibly manage cloud accounts (AWS and Azure) and make recommendations on how best to support our infrastructure and interact with Developers and Architects in cross-functional areas.
- Design and implement reusable server provisioning with tools.
- Support development teams with project builds, deployments and troubleshooting.
- Continually identify automation opportunities to enable teams to move and deliver faster.
- Responsible to deliver in a timely manner within the resource, budgetary and timeframe requirements.
- Perform system administration functions including monitoring system and network performance, troubleshooting system problems, maintaining user accounts and various tracking systems, and liaising with other institutional information system and information technology groups.
- Documenting infrastructure, deployment processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Creating clear and concise technical documentation for reference and knowledge sharing.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
- Must have 8+ years of DevOps Automation using CI/CD, Jenkins
- Must have 4+ years experience in Cloud Architecture
- Must have AWS Cloud Architect Certification
- Must have good Knowledge of key features of Cloud Service Providers.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls) is a plus
- Must have ability to estimate usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms
- Experience in doing full migration of on-premises workload to cloud service providers is a big plus
- Experience working with USA or European clients is a plus.
- Experience working with multi-vendor, multi-culture, distributed offshore and onshore development teams in dynamic and complex environment will be helpful in day to day working.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate should be able to present his suggestions and explain technical approach.
