POSITION SUMMARY: The manufacturing engineer is responsible to assist the Manufacturing

Manager in all areas of the electronic manufacturing floor. Must build, maintain and constantly

improve infrastructure and machine maintenance/operation required to produce profitable, high

quality electronic products with on-time delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have excellent problem solving, communication, organizational and

management skills. Candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years work experience with SMT,

Thru-hole, and PCB electronic assembly manufacturing along with a supporting two or four year

degree. Needs the ability to be flexible, have a positive attitude, and work well with people/teams

as needed. The candidate will have SMT/Thru-hole solder/de-solder skills and IPC-A-610 training

(ideally) to assist in repairs, re-work, and the quality control functions needed. Excellent Microsoft

Office skills are required.

DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Manufacturing Manager in building and maintaining a strong/flexible team.
Create a work environment that is safe for employees.
Assist in establishing, measuring and maintaining processes and labor standard
requirements for each department of manufacturing.
Constant improvement of manufacturing processes to maximize efficiencies (reduce
assembly time) and produce consistent high quality products. Remain current with
manufacturing technologies and set goals for implementation of cost saving ideas.
Optimize manufacturing process to provide substantial gains in cost effectiveness and
product performance through capital projects, statistical analysis, designed experiments
and procedural changes.
Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and design layout of
equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Provide technical support (and technician support) required for manufacturing/engineering
Provide/assist with QC functions relating to ISO9001:2015 and IPC-A-610 certifications
Participate as active member of the quote department. Responsible for providing accurate
labor time for quoting purposes.
Machine and equipment operation/maintenance and repair for the test stands, screen
printer, wave solder, SMT oven, Selective Solder Machine, Automated Optical Inspection
Machine, etc.
Coordinating Facility maintenance and upkeep (heat, air, lights, ect).
Housekeeping for shop, rest rooms, lunch and associated offices.
Implement corrective action needed to resolve quality issues.
Implement and maintain training program to qualify personnel for specific job functions.
Cross training is extremely important.
Resolve production related issues as they arise.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
