Pay Range: $38.71 - $50.18 per hour ($80,516 - $104,375 annually)

Job Overview

A respected healthcare organization in Northern New York is seeking an MRI Technologist to join its growing Radiology Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an imaging professional who is passionate about patient care, committed to quality imaging, and enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment.

The MRI Technologist will perform diagnostic MRI procedures under the direction of a Radiologist while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with departmental standards. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients throughout the imaging process and plays an important role in delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologists
  • Verify patient information, medical history, and imaging requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
  • Adhere to all MRI safety standards and departmental procedures
  • Assist with general Radiology Department operations as needed
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare team members
  • Maintain equipment and report any operational concerns

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography
  • New York State License in Radiologic Technology
  • BLS Certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
  • NYS IV Contrast Certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire)

Preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience
  • ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
