Schedule Options: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Compensation: $22.00 – $30.50 per hour (based on experience)
Assignment: 6-month contract with potential to convert to permanent
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Employment Coordinator to support the employment and onboarding process within a healthcare organization. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth and compliant hiring experience for new employees while maintaining high standards of accuracy, organization, and customer service.

The Employment Coordinator will work closely with HR, leadership, Occupational Health, and IT to ensure all onboarding requirements are completed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate post-offer requirements including physicals, immunizations, and drug screenings

  • Manage onboarding documentation such as background checks, licensure verification, references, employment and education verification

  • Ensure personnel files are complete and uploaded into the document management system

  • Partner with IT to establish system access and credentials for new hires

  • Prepare and coordinate bi-weekly new hire orientation sessions

  • Conduct mini-orientations for employees starting before scheduled orientation

  • Issue employee ID badges and parking credentials

  • Maintain agency personnel files and coordinate documentation with staffing partners

  • Process internal transfers, promotions, and department changes

  • Track and process sign-on bonuses, referral bonuses, and relocation payments

  • Audit personnel files to ensure compliance and accuracy

  • Provide front desk and customer service support as needed

  • Assist with HR projects and additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a healthcare setting

  • Strong understanding of onboarding and employment compliance processes

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • High sense of urgency and commitment to accuracy

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and personalities

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based role

  • Frequent standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 30 lbs)

  • Requires sustained attention to detail and fine motor coordination
