Job Title: RN Corrections - Milan, NM
Location: Milan, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (3x per week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Weekly Gross Pay: $1,664.00
Job Overview:
We are hiring a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time contract assignment in a correctional facility located in Milan, NM. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care, including medication administration, emergency response, and supporting physician-directed care in a secure environment. Candidates must meet federal clearance requirements and be comfortable working in correctional settings.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and execute provider treatment orders
- Assist in examinations, treatments, sick call, and triage evaluations
- Provide emergency care and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Supervise LPNs and non-licensed medical staff as assigned
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of medical care
- Monitor inpatient hospitalizations and support discharge coordination
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and correctional policies
- Observe, document, and respond to changes in inmate/resident behavior
- Participate in audits, accreditation efforts, and medical reporting
- Escort inmates for medical treatment and perform facility safety checks
- Respond to incidents and perform rescue functions in emergencies
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Active, unrestricted RN license in New Mexico
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid Social Security card for facility clearance
- Must reside 70+ miles away from the facility
- Must be able to start within 2 weeks
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid drivers license required
- Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays

No RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed during the assignment
Preferred:
- 1+ year of professional nursing experience
- Experience in correctional, emergency, or institutional healthcare settings
- Active AHA BLS certification
