Job Title: Registered Nurse RN - Intensive Care

Location: Andover, KS

Schedule: Nights, 3x12s, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Every other weekend required)

Hourly Pay Rate: $35.00 - $38.00 (based on experience)

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

Shift Differential: +$4.00/hr for nights and weekends (stackable)

Holiday Differential: 50% of base rate (6 major holidays)

Position Overview

The ICU RN will provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients, including assessment, education, direct treatment, and care plan evaluation. This role requires strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patient families while maintaining high standards of care and compliance with hospital protocols.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Associate or Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
  • Nursing diploma programs (completed during or before the 1980s) accepted
  • BSN preferred
  • Licensure/Certifications:
  • RN License (Kansas) Required
  • BLS Required
  • ACLS Preferred on hire, required within 6 months
  • TNCC Preferred on hire, required within 6 months
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification Required within 6 months
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience required

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive and ongoing assessments and document findings
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans
  • Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families
  • Ensure delegated nursing tasks align with patient needs and state scope of practice
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
  • Maintain confidentiality, uphold safety and infection control standards
  • Participate in continuous education and professional development
