Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Technician
Location: Orange Park, Florida
Shift Type: Day (Weekend Rotation Required)
Shifts Per Week: 4
Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $32.62 to $48.93, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Overview:
You will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Your expertise will support cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology procedures, and device implantations. You will play a critical role in patient preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care while ensuring the highest level of clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cardiac catheterizations and device implantations performed in the Cath/EP Lab.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for invasive cardiovascular procedures and ensure patients are prepared according to policy.
- Circulate, monitor, and provide sterile scrub support during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Perform vascular and other cardiac procedures as required.
- Manage stocking and documentation of supplies, and ensure accurate billing and coding of procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- RCIS certification required for certain states (Florida, South Carolina) or ARRT credentials (Georgia).
- 1 year of experience in a Cath/EP Lab preferred.
- Bachelors or Associate Degree preferred.
