Location: Round Rock, TX
Shift: 8 HR Days (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), 5 shifts per week, 40 scheduled hours
Hourly Rate: $33 - $48 per hour
Sign-on Bonus: $10,000 for full-time positions
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will perform high-quality nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to established protocols. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide accurate diagnostic information to assist in patient treatment. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures according to exam protocols and established standards
- Communicate with patients using AIDET techniques to explain procedures, ensure correct exams are performed, and address any concerns
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to ensure accurate results
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including radiation, drug, and infection control policies
- Maintain and prepare equipment and work area, ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness
- Document all necessary patient information, including medical history and shielding precautions
- Ensure proper record-keeping of medical imaging results in accordance with department policies
- Serve as a preceptor, providing quality training to new team members
Qualifications:
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT-N) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Experience in performing nuclear medicine procedures is preferred
- Ability to take call, if required
